Trivandrum is one of the cities in Kerala that has both international and domestic airports. Many flights from metros and second tier cities connect with the rest of India. There are also direct flights to many counties of the Middle East, as many Malyalis go to the Middle East for jobs. Sahara and Jet provide regular flights domestically. The city is also well-connected via rail to many cities and towns of the country, and South India. Being capital city, Trivandrum is also well-connected via road to many cities in Kerala and surrounding states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
